Settling In

The recent weeks have brought so many unexpected events! Quickly:
We found a house the third day we got to Birmingham and after we went back to the house for the millionth time and sat inside for about 2 hours, RJ and I made our offer. We closed a month later and now here we are--didn't think it would happen that fast but we feel very blessed! And don't be deceived by the yard in the picture... we have a lot of work to do.

We also found out that our sweet baby is due a couple weeks earlier than expected, putting the due date to April 9th! We couldn't be more excited... we get an Easter bunny baby! This picture is at 14 weeks. I am 18 weeks now and we'll most likely find out the gender this Monday!

RJ's parents came in town this week and it was so great to see them. We miss seeing our family as often as we used to, so this week really was wonderful. Sandi and Ren were so great--they helped us get all the extra things we needed for our house. Even just being with them was wonderful! We can't wait to see the rest of the family at the end of November for Thanksgiving... counting down the days! But let's not forget the family that we DO have in Alabama, the Childresses, which we're so lucky to have and we love them a lot.

One last note, I want to thank everyone who was so sweet to my family during my brother's accident. That kid is a rock star and he is doing better every day! He can even walk, despite the fence post that went through his leg! It was truly a miracle.

Hopefully this Monday you'll get the gender update!
